Australia have done nothing but Dominate England at their home soil, and in two of those Dominating victories, two guys named Mitchell played a huge part.

Two left-arm fast bowlers named Mitchell who dominated a decade apart. In the 2013-14 Ashes, where Mitchell Johnson was named the Player of the Series, terrorising England with 37 wickets at an average of 14 and also contributing 165 runs with the bat, with one fifty-plus score in the 5-0 result Down Under.

Fast-forward to the 2025-26 Ashes, and the same thing happened. Mitchell Starc showed his influence, taking 31 wickets at an average of 19.9 and scoring 156 runs with two half-centuries to claim the ‘Player of the Series’ award.

Two left-arm pace bowlers, titans both, a decade and a half apart: two Mitchells celebrated for their Ashes greatness.
