BCB official M. Nazmul Islam is in Trouble after calling former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal an “Indian agent”

Tamim Iqbal Indian agent remark has sparked yet another major controversy within the Bangladesh cricket team when BCB finance committee chief M. Nazmul Islam called the former captain and one of the country’s best-ever batsmen, Tamim Iqbal, an “Indian agent” in his now-deleted post on Facebook.
This follows a call by Tamim for the board to deal with the ongoing dispute regarding Bangladesh’s involvement at the T20 World Cup hosted by India calmly and thoughtfully for the betterment of Bangladesh’s cricketing future. The remarks by M. Nazmul Islam came after Tamim publicly asked the Bangladesh Cricket Board to deal with the ongoing dispute over Bangladesh’s involvement at the T20 World Cup hosted by India calmly and thoughtfully for the betterment
Players like Taskin Ahmed, Mominul Haque, and Taijul Islam have expressed their disapproval of Nazmul’s statement as not only disrespectful but also unpresidential for the board. A public apology is being sought by the Cricketers’ Welfare Association of Bangladesh.
Critics argue that the event has further polarised Bangladesh’s cricket fraternity with tensions related to security issues and the exclusion of Mustafizur Rahman from the Indian Premier League
